Psi Eta Chapter hosted the 2012 Southwest Regional Meeting, Chi Eta PHi Sorority Inc. This March, 2012 Southwest Regional conference was attended by professional nurses from Southern California, Colorado, and Florida. Representatives from the National Black Nurses Association, The Multicultural Nurses Association, and the Nigerian Nurses Association were also in attendance. Speakers included Dr. Patricia Hinchberger, California State University- Dominguez Hills; Dr. Rachel Plotkin Olumese RN - St Mary's Medical Center, Long Beach; Dr Eric Williams - National Black Nurses Association, and Professor, Santa Monica College; Ernesta Wright, Founder and Director - The G.r.e.e.n Foundation; Dr. Mildred Fennell, National President, Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority Inc. and Dr. Gloria Willingham-Toure', Basileus , Psi Eta Chapter. The annual Humanitarian Award was presented to Dr. Loucine Huckabay, Director, Nursing Programs, California State University, Long Beach, in recognition of her years of Service to Humanity.
